In my opinion both of these men are has beens, and are part of the reson there is such polarization of the political process now.

considering that al gore has motivated millions of people to become active in saving the planet, and plans on doing the same thing and making that his top order of business, i'd say he's just what we need right now. he's got his finger on what the country REALLY needs to worry about, instead of all this bull$hit about how the terrorists are going to bomb us all. oh, and he won the presidency once before... that's pretty obvious that he would be a top contender for president in 2008!

and in defense of new gingrich, he galvanized an entire country to vote republican. there's no such thing as a "has-been" in politics, as long as you have fresh ideas and the drive to educate the people about them.

The polarization is a natural result of the federal government exceeding the authority in the Constitution, and the failure of the media to notice.

The polarization is merely a pair of twins striving to appear different, aided and abetted by a media that needs a controversy to sell newspapers in the first place.
