White House officials said the Democrats had engaged in political gamesmanship.
“What we are witnessing is an out-of-control Congress which spends time calling for special prosecutors, starting investigations, issuing subpoenas and generally just trying to settle scores,” said Scott M. Stanzel, a White House spokesman. “All the while they fail to pass appropriations bills and important issues like immigration reform, energy and other problems go unanswered.”

I can't believe that anyone would dare to mention Clinton's "moral depravity" with all of the Repubs falling like soldiers in the face of charges of drugs, sex and child abuse!!
And.....If the AG LIED, he, too, should face consequences. This is not a witch hunt! It is a criminal investigation--as was Libby's--not a dip into PERSONAL business!

Considering the fact that the Republicans seem to find a way to blame Democrats for everything, and always bring up Bill Clinton as their poster boy for desultory behavior, citing Bill did this, and Bill did that!,what they do does not surprise me at all!
They are MASTER game players, and name callers as well !
They have called us everything from fascists, to socialists, and communists as well! Did Clinton lie, and cover up what he did? Yes, of course he did! So did Newt , and Foley, and Libbey, and Carl Rove, and Novak, and so on and so on, all the way to Reagan and the Sandanistas!, And back to Nixon!
Republicans should remember that insulting the Democrats about past fois pas? Is the pot, calling the kettle black!

Let's see Clinton fired all of his Attorney Generals, Bush fires a few and all hell breaks loose. Congress wants to question all of these people just in case they make a mistake in their testimony then they but them up on perjury charges. How many of you could testify under oath about stuff from 3-4 years ago and not make a mistake or have the recollection of that same event interpreted differently by someone else?
Yes they are witch hunts and if you can't see that you are so closed minded that there is no help for you.

It takes a fair amount of chutzpah to cite bringing up Clinton as political gamesmanship. It was political gamesmanship that kept him from being convicted by the Senate on his Perjury impeachment. It certainly wasn't because he wasn't guilty of it.

Considering that Clinton hasn't been president for over half a decade, and thus isn't the issue at hand? It's akin to covering their ears and singing "Lah lah lah, I can't hear you, lah lah lah!"

its as simple as this it was bushes right to fire the attorneys , the Dem's shouldn't of even wasted our time trying to make this a issue or for the administration to try and hide facts about it , they shouldn't of even bothered to call anyone in for anything.
get to the important issues at hand
from neither a D or a R
to Vaughn: its a catch 22 , if they wouldn't of called him in for nothing he wouldn't of lied about nothing and they are all ( both side) are getting richer from this another one of politics great distractions

Clinton was and is morally bankrupt. He lied and no one can make excuses for him. He has to take responsibility for his actions. He cannot blame anyone else for his lack of character.
Now the liberals want to get back at the Republicans who exposed his weak character and that is why they are on a witch-hunt against any and all Conservatives. This should stop.

Republican they don't know which end is which right now. They all will be buried with the Bush Administration. They were lucky that someone like Goldwater was present during Nixon years to redeem them, who do they have now?

no one cares about the destruction of the constitution but if bush got caught in the oval office with with his pants down with a saudi prince and then lied about it, then someone might do something.
