Yes, I do. But They have to start it and then I usually finish it. I live in the friendliest state in the country though so that has a lot to do with it.

Everybody is a stranger until you get to know them.
We talk to millions of people online everyday, so I mean, we might as well. I talk to random people all the time, in fact I met my best friend by just striking a conversation up with her.

Most of the time I'd rather not, but so often I get roped in. I would rarely be the one to instigate conversation. Meeting new people can be fun, but majority of the time I find myself wanting to escape. It does fascinate me how you can have such a brief encounter with people sometimes and learn so much about what's happening in their life. Those are normally the people you want to get away from the most though as they just don't SHUT UP!

I don't make a habit out of it, but I've done it before. Especially if I'm in a doctor's office, or somewhere else that I'm probably going to be there a while. It just seems natural to strike up a conversation to pass the time.

I had so much fun doing just that at our campground last week. When we were sitting out and people passed, I'd comment on their pet or something, most stayed to chat a while, some started walking down a different road (grumpy ol' farts), lol, but met many nice people. One was an artist that gave me a bunch of her homemade greeting cards.

Yes I have done this several times at the grocery store I shop at frequently. In reality I am quite a talker and love to chat away non stop about anything! But that's just who I am.....

I'm kind of shy by nature. But sometimes, if I'm at a social gathering, I'll pluck up my courage, introduce myself to someone & at least try to strike up a conversation.

Yes I do when I am helping my friend out at the corner store. I think sometimes that I am to friendly, but I am careful what I say.
