you need something really bad you can't find it but when you don't need it's always there?
For example: scissors or matches

last October I was looking for a roll of fiberglass roofing patch materials...I couldn't find it to save my life...the other day while looking for some 2 1/2 in sheet metel screws for a friend I foung the roll of fiberglass...and I couldn't find the 2 1/2 sheetmetel screws...maybe I should look for something ele...

This happens to me all the time. Things are never where they are suppose to be or where i'm sure i left them. Then i go looking for something else and there they are like six inches from where i left the thing and two days later. I swear its the borrowers.

I'm like crazy OCD and I always know where everything is at, but I am lost when I am not at home, have my purse or car. Doesn't anyone organize anything?

It's a defense mechanism...these devices have evolved over the centuries and now scatter and hide whenever they're about to be used.

yes, it happens to me all of the time. If I don't need a pen they are everywhere but as soon as I need one it is no where to be found.
