In my opinion it's a little to Early for 11 or 12 year old to start to make money but if you don't care you may let them play with your portfolio or play money games.

Hmmm. For your age i'd say sell some that you don't use anymore like old toys. Or if you have usefull talents then make use them but im not encouraging you to make money a lot, just earn what you need. If that enough then ask you parents or friends for help ^^> .

Get a few friends together, and do a car wash. You'll make money a lot faster than mowing lawns. Do have adult supervision though.

I started out mowing yards and that blossomed into my own landscaping business. I subcontracted for many general contractors by the time I was in my teens.
