I hear them right now, & I'm very scared. I know that's the crickets, but they sound like rattlesnakes.

Sometimes they do sound like rattlesnakes. Especially when there is a lot of crickets chirpinig all at once.

No, I've always thought they sounded like crickets. You don't have rattlesnakes impersonating crickets at your place tonight do you? Wouldn't that be wild? LOL.

i don't think they sound like rattlesnakes but they may make a high pitch noise that may sound closer to a rattlesnake which is them only trying to find & impress a mate =)
