He said he used to love me. Does love ever come back? I know love is supposed to be a decision, but who wants to live life with such a lack of ease and joy. Is a relationship based on security, not rocking the boat, and kids worth it?

Love is very complicated. Everyone has different rules of how love is suppossed to be. I am a strong believer that once love exists between two human-beings, no matter the nature of the relationship; that it does not leave. In intimate relationships one or the other might Fall out from being INLove with the other. The love created while in love WILL NOT ever stop. for one i don't believe truelove is ever a choice sometimes you just can't stop loving a person. so to answer your question if you let go of love and it kills you inside and just doesn't go away then its love and love forever in this case he portly fills the same but has alternative reasons for leaving and when he can find answers to though questions then ya he will show his love again. but if time goes by and you can go with out going crazy from the lack of him, then no he never was your true love. I most defiantly think that kids is worth it even though reality speaking you should find one happiness. I feel if it can be worked out then it's worth that especially in a marriage except for adultery. I feel true love never leaves and only if it does it never was love but infatuation or lust. Anyway you can care about someone and not love them.
