Nomor, I'd have to say that you seem to be on to something here, and as a Catholic myself, I apologize for any actions the US is doing to the ones that are the true followers of your faith. Everything I've heard or read, that those who'd follow true Islam are peaceful people and there are quite the few radical bad apples out there perverting the words of your holy book. I do not follow Islam being a Chrisitan, and I try my best to follow the guidence Jesus gave us in at least having some respect for our neighbors.

In all seriousness, military or not, noone's really going to change anything. Killing has been going on since the beginning of time. Until some sense of control world wide comes about, I'd say the safest thing the US should do is close down the borders and tighten up things in house. We already have laws in place to deal with illegals here, and it's be folly to think we could really prevent anyone from comming in if they planned to do us harm. The best kept secret is one you share only with yourself.

If we'd just enforce our own laws here, instead of thinking about our income, our whole society probably would be better. We raise millions to feed those in Africa, but take a trip in downtown NYC and count your homeless and drug addicts. I'm not against helping anyone else, but as Jesus would say, remove the plank from your own eye before taking the splinter out of mine please. Let's fix up America first, and then help those in need. We can't expect to try to demonstrate any level of greatness with our own internal problems, and with the rest of the world taking the lead and accepting global warming, unless we contain the oil industries influence on our goverment, USA better start planning on taking a back seat to other nations in the near future.

Don't take me as a Democrat either, I've always followed the Rep party in the past, but if you want to call me anything, call me a realist. I'm just not the kind of person to call the 800lb bull charging me a peaceful cow. A ball is a ball a strike is a strike, and if some CEO's at Exxon wont be able to buy that new mercedes for Christmas, but we can reverse the flooding of the Oceans, so be it. America is about fear now Gary, and if you put out common sense advice, or someone else actually knows more then you do, it's becomming too much our ways here to put it down or fabricate something to throw light off the truth. I almost feel sick of myself thinking I gave our country 12 years of my life to support this nation seeing what I see now. I just about feel ashamed to tell anyone I'm an American, but when I go abroad, you won't see me expecting anyone to speak English being I am in thier country. If I go, I will learn thier language out of respect.

We as American would not sit back and just let another foriegn entity say we are not entitled to Hawaii and do nothing about it. Terrorism aside here and clear your mind. Do we honestly think that the people of Iraq who feel thier country has been raped should sit back and just take it? Come on, let's get real here and put ourselves in thier shoes.

Its wrong to fund any terrorist regardless of their race, religion etc however, i do see your point, and the majority of the posters here can barely string a sentence together, let alone have knowledge about politics. im pretty sure i'll be getting thumbs down for what im going to say now, but to be frank i couldn't care less. the truth is the american government is infected with Zionist thugs, now seen as iv just said that, many would assume or accuse me of being anti Semitic -well im not, i don't hate jews, i hate Zionists, (just thought i might tell that)

For several years the left have been crying about the war and claiming that we are causing more terror recruitment by our presence in Iraq. If we would only leave, they say, then those nice, misunderstood terrorists would leave us alone. How did the terrorists reward Spain for their position of retreat? They bombed a train station killing a lot of people. Surely if Bush and Blair would just get out of Iraq and if both of them were gone we would see the Religion of Pieces calm down and live like good, decent beings.

Gordon Brown took over for Tony Blair as the PM of the UK so that was one thing the terrorists wanted, Blair gone (as did many of his countrymen). The new PM has stated that he will be taking a look at the UK’s position on Iraq and might start removing troops. Did the terrorists allow him the time to think about it? Did they reward him for his idea of possibly leaving Iraq? Why no, they attacked his country again.

Two car bombs were discovered before they could cause problems and kill people but a third vehicle was driven into the airport terminal in Glasgow Scotland where it was on fire causing damage and increasing fear. It would appear as if the car bomb brigade has made its way to the UK and are going to be targeting innocent civilians.

These are the kind of people we are dealing with. They have no regard for human life and are more than willing to die for their cause, which I say we should help them with. They treat positions of weakness with attacks in an effort to make people submit to their twisted form of religion that follows the rantings of a mental child molester prophet named Mohammad. They want every single American dead
The US State Department has issued a warning that American buildings in Israel are being targeted by suicide bombers. The warning indicates that US citizens should leave and to exercise caution.
The American State Department has issued a warning to citizens and residents of the US living in Israel.
The warning was released after information was received that suicide bombings were planned against American institutes, restaurants and businesses in Israel that are connected to the US, especially in Jerusalem.
The US must have an idea of who is planning the attacks and what country they come from. Our government should warn that country that if any of our assets are bombed we will retaliate against that country with round the clock carpet bombing until nothing is left standing and then, if it is an oil producing country, we will enter and take the oil for our own use.
This will only be effective if we, as a country, have the stomach for such action. It is evident that the Democrats do not have the security of our nation at heart and that they lack the strength to be tough on sponsors of terror. Regardless, we should be willing to make the country that houses these terrorists pay and pay dearly for any terrorist act against us. These countries and the terrorists from them only understand force and by bombing them back to the stone age we will signal that we are done tippy toeing around and that we will use overwhelming power to obliterate these people.
It will only take one such response to get people’s attention and make them understand that we mean business. No other country will want to suffer that fate. As for the UN and any idea of disproportional use of force, screw them.
Enough is enough. We need to show these terrorists and their sponsors what military might actually means.

No. Islam, itself, is not a threat. It is Islamist extremists who are a threat. They are no different than Christian extremists, like Jim Jones or the guy that blew up abortion clinics in the name of Jesus.

Muslims that are true to their faith would not kill innocent people to achieve political ends. In fact, any Muslim that calls himself a Sunni, Shiite, Wahhabi, Amadayet, or any other sect is no more a Muslim than you are. Dividing into sects is forbidden in the Qur'an, so they have broken a fundamental principal of the religion that they claim. It would be like a professional hit man calling himself a Christian. It just doesn't work.

As for the threat, yes there is one. What we should do about it is stop supporting Israeli concentration camps, Saudi royal interests, World Bank takeover of Third World infrastructure, and bombing Muslim countries. Speaking softly and carrying a big stick has not been the policy of the US for many decades, instead, we speak with the stick. That doesn't win many friends or allies. It only serves to recruit more terrorists. We will only defeat terrorism when people feel that living is better than dying.

Threat from some deranged, misguided minds may not really deserve to be called 'islamic' threat! What is needed, perhaps, is to address terrorism and related issues, more urgently, more effectively!

There is a real threat from militant ideology of ANY kind.

Doesn't matter if it is militant religion, militant philosophy, militant politics... any kind of militancy is dangerous, especially extremist militants.

Moderate, non-militant Islam is not an enemy. However, militant extremist Islam is. Just like militant extremist Christianity back in the days of burning witches and heretics. Just like the days of militant communism/atheism, where religious people were rounded up and killed in the Soviet Union. Any kind of extremism is dangerous, and militant ideology of any kind is an enemy of mankind.

We should get all our rights taken away one by one after terror attacks just happen to occur when a bill in lack of support needs to be passed.

Yes there is a threat, but it only started getting serious when Bush decided it was Osama who magically made the twin towers fall over from a cave in Afghanistan!!! then started bombing Afghanis with cluster bombs, B52's and missiles.
To date the US govt still hasnt provided ANY proof that Osama (or Saudis ) were involved in 911.
