Disney is located in Los Angeles, an agent in Ohio definitely CANNOT help you get on Disney. You need an Agent in Los Angeles or New York City.

THere are good agents in OHio, but I doubt they will get you a gig on the disney channel, the agents will focus on work in Ohio...
You want to act in Disney goto Calf or Florida.

www.sag.com to find good ohio agents in your area.
Get started with local work, and when you have experience then try to get on Disney.

Sorry, but it's true. You'd have to relocate to Los Angeles in order to be seen by anyone from Disney. Get started locally and tell your agent your dream and see if they can help you. Disney often films on location and you never know when they'll need to fill a small role with someone local.

good luck!

Hi,

you'll most likely have to relocate, at least to build relationships with the people who will be able to help you make that happen.

The first thing that comes to mind after reading your question though is, "Are you ready to audition for Disney?". The reason I ask is because there I/we here at answers.yahoo have entertained an onslaught of questions regularly by folks asking the same question. It seems that Disney is the place everyone wants to be.

Having said that, you know that the people already acting on Disney Channel are trained professionals. Are you? If so, then I have a suggestion for you. There are many actors who are very, very good, but don't get seen and don't get a chance to audition for the casting directors they really want to audition for, because they don't have the business skills they need to be successful. And so, their talent goes unnoticed. What a shame. Really. I have a friend who was like that for a long time and now she is beginning to come around.

Your number one priority should be getting some good, solid acting training. It's not just about being the right type, it's also, and more importantly about your acting skill. But make sure you have an opinion about what you are looking for in a school and in a teacher. Click here to see what some of your criteria could be.

In the long-term, and if you really want to be acting on Disney Channel, you will want to develop yourself, study the industry and study your acting craft.

Go to this link and see some of the issues actors often have before they even get close to working at all as actors, much less acting on Disney Channel: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com

I’ll send you to this page to see what it can be like to be an actor looking for work. This could be typical day, like it was once for me: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/working_as_an_actor.html
Are you ready to do that day after day after day until you get what you want? Are you ready to relocate if necessary?

This question comes up multiple times daily. If you do a search here on answers you will see other answers to this question. I answer this question a lot and so instead of writing the same or similar answers, I have created a 36-page ebooklet that answers pretty thoroughly your question.
Just go to http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/acs-blog.html , sign in on the right side of the page and you can download it for free. It's called: What It Takes To Become An Actor.

The second resource you might want to have a look at is this page: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_get_an_agent.html . It takes you through a process that I used to get two agents and a personal manager in a short period of time.

I say this to let you know that before you get close to Disney, you will have a lot of work to do and a lot of base to build. That is unless you are a natural born, exceptional talent. Then maybe not.

So in summary, it is possible to get to Disney. It is. But you will have to position yourself for success. To do that you need to get started quickly and with purpose!

Good luck!

Tony
