~15!

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILDERS:

The entire second half kept me at the edge of my seat and, like all the other Harry Potter books, I could not put it down. But the fact that she killed off so many principle characters (including poor innocent little Hedwig!) kinda brought me down. I mean I know she was making a point with it, like about war etc. (but did little Teddy REALLY have to be an orphan!? I guess its supposed to be an irony, like a Harry-Potter-all-over-again sort of thing...) There was also a very slow sorta boring spot in the middle that kinda dragged on a little. But over all it was difinately my favorite! And omg I LOVED the final twist when he died. And Especially that he didnt have to become a murderer after all! Throughout all 7 books Harry never killed anyone...

After finishing it, I would rate it a 5, while reading maybe a 4 or less. I seemed to be dragging for most of the book. It seemed as if she was rushed to conclude the series, and it read as if it were poorly pieced together. Also the deaths(which I will not mention who) seemed t be just for shock value, not real purpose(unlike Dumbledore's and Sirius' death which added to the books, and had a purpose)

In comparison with her first few books this one was not that good, it was kind of obvious. I now what was going to happen from about the middle on.

Part of me want to love this book, b/c it is the last one, but I can't. I try and remember I am an adult and can read deeper into the words, and expect better than what I got. I realize that most of this book will appease young readers, who will not look at it in the same way I do.

There were also a few parts that were inconsistent, unnecessary, and impossible. And even other Potter fans could not explain why/how these parts of the book happened.

I would rate it an 8 because it seemed a little complacent(eager to please) at times and then it gave us misacallenous information, introduced things to late, and was a bit confusing. I love the book it was good but not what I wanted it to me to me it didn't hold up to the Hype I was expecting the Final battle to be a duel there was no duel....But to save the spoilers I'll stop my rant...I'll re-read it maybe then I'll give it a ten.

8. I loved it, but 10 only would go to a masterpiece of classical litterature, and I don't give a 9 because it was a little too long, where it shouldn't. What the heck, is she paid by the page?

I would give it a 9.5, it was the best in the series. The only reason it wasn't a 10 because she dragged a little in long, expository paragraphs when she didn't need to.

^In response to the person who said it wasn't perfect because she killed off people, when have you ever seen an "epic conclusion" that didn't involve one or several characters dying? It made the book better. Plus, I never liked Hedwig.

i would give it 8 out of 10. one minus point for being a bit confusing and another for not giving details about minor characters like luna, mcgonagall, etc., in the epilogue.

A 7 the middle when they were just on the run was very dull and it just dragged on
