do u think its smart for the big 10 adding a team from the big 12 i think it would be stupid we have a big 12 already and i cant see CO or Iowa State joining thats not a good fit to me and then if u do get put one of those teams in the big 10 then will the big 12 try to find another team so they still have a conference champonship i think the big 10 should only have 11 teams and find a team thats not from the big 12 go for somoebody in the moutainwest what do you guys think????

first of all it should be the big 11 as of now right. Who cares how many teams are added or what the name is, adding another team would finally give the fans what they want to see a conference championship game. Pitt would be a good fit they could renew the rivalry between Penn State. WVU or Louisville,Syracuse, and Rutgers would all be good as well the big ten network would probably like to see Syracuse or Rutgers for a bigger regional broadcast, but Pitt,WV, or Louisville would be my choices.

Pitt is the best choice. Who cares about tiny Iowa State? Most of the Big 10 schools have 35,000 plus students. Pitt would be a natural rival for Penn State, and has been a recruiting rival for Ohio State for many years. Forget Notre Dame. They have 65 million reasons to stay Independent.
Penn State won 2 National Championships in 4 years as an Independent. Joining the Big 10 has done absolutely nothing to enhance their academic or athletic reputation. They needed the Big 10 for the $$$$$$. Penn State was great without the Big 10, and so is Notre Dame.

Louisville- way too small a school. The Big 10 aleready has one school with a stadium that seats only 50,000, thats Northwestern. They don't need another. Rutgers-LOOK AT A MAP. West Virginia, I like that choice after Pitt. Syracuse-LOOK AT A MAP.

I agree with buckeyesuxballs in name and answer. I'd love to see Louisville or W. Virginia specifically get messed up week after week so we can all go back to skipping over the big east for the top 25. I'm not excited about the big 12 teams, Iowa State makes a little sense, but I like Pitt better. Besides, how many people from Iowa would we gain? I like the idea of Rutgers a little, but they only had 1 good year, might be a little premature.

Yes it is a great idea. Now they can have a big 10 championship/playoff which would be great rather than just picking a champion based on the regular season. An idea of a team to add (if they would) is Notre Dame but they like being an independent team because of the easier schedule.

Can you try breaking that up into more than one sentence? Good God.

As for the question, Iowa State would be a good fit, already having a natural rivalry with Iowa and being in close proximity to Minnesota and Wisconsin.
