Well, I'm a teacher, so meetings start back up around the 17th I think, but actual school doesn't start until the last week of August, and that first day is only 1 hr--what a waste! (Cicero School Dist. #99, IL)

I'm almost 30 years old and no longer in school, but the kids who live in my district starts school on August 16th. Pretty early!
