yahoo! cent block IP addresses, but how 'bout they geve users the option to? then, we cen block an IP address of a repeating abuser, an no one cen see any of our questions or answers from that IP address

i understand, but at this point, even if im blocking a computer at soem library soemwere, i consider it worth it. besides, we own our own questions and answers, we can decide who can see them or not, just like if we can put our profiles on private so only contacts can see preveasly asked questions.

thanks Charlie, i have an even better idea now, how about we build our own custom contact team, by allowing only our friends IP addresses to be accepted, and this feature can be toggles on and off when there are a lot of trolls. so unless they copy the speccific IP address of one of the friends we accepted, they dunt have access. like we make our friends IP addresses a password to our questions.

A lot of people particularly college dorms and some cable connections have shared IP addresses. You would be blocking more than just the individual user. And yes like it or not Charlie is right on this one it is easy to get false IP addresses

Yeah that sounds great. It might take a while before they would go through with it though.

YES!!! I am ALL for it. I hate having to have my contacts and Q&A private because of the trolls.
