I consider Abortion as murder myself, there are approximately 4,000 abortions per day in the US, that is more per day than the current number of US military in Iraq since that war started. There has been more babies murdered by abortion than all of the deaths of US military, enemy military and civilians than all of the wars the US has been involved in combined. Since 1973 almost 50,000,000 abortions have been performed.
Even worse, almost 50% of all abortions is for contraception.
Abortion doesn't make you un-pregnant, Abortion makes you the mother of a DEAD BABY
EDIT: Note to Slykitty62
If you plant flower seeds and then remove them from the ground they won't become flowers either, a fetus removed from its mothers womb doesn't get the chance to grow, it has already been murdered. If it wasn't alive, it wouldn't grow
In California, if you have been drinking and get into an accident involving a pregnant woman and her fetus dies, you can be charged with murder, even if she was on her way to an abortion clinic, so when is it a human being? I guess the answer is anytime you are driving while drinking.

That's right. The mother has no right to choose to murder the life that was conceived in her. If a woman is not ready to become a parent, in case she gets pregnant, she should not be sexually active or use contraceptive methods to prevent a pregnancy. The woman does have a choice: become a loving mother OR place the baby for adoption and allow the baby to have a loving mother.
The response I read about 'life being a continuum' written by Open4one is laughable. If that were true, then there would not be death. There is actually SCIENCE behind this whole life thing, and you are a part of it.

As a person of the pro-choice persuasion I do not actually believe that abortion is okay. I think that it is a horrible thing to do in almost every case. I do not believe in using it as a form of birth control or as the easy way out. However, I do believer that it is our responsibility to keep it legal for those other cases, such as, when it might kill the mother. I don't see abortion is a black or white issue, it is grey and I am for the protection of BOTH the mother and the baby.

"Murder" is a specific legal term, meaning "the unlawful killing of a human being".
Currently, some abortions are lawful, some are not, but I'm not aware of any being considered "murder".
See, you're confused because you're starting with the answer, which is, for you, "abortion is murder". The questions are a) When does the fetus gain legal protection to the extent that it is considered murder under the law, and b) who gets to make that decision?
I grant you that the pro-abortion types have also begun with the answer for them, which is "abortion is the right of the mother".
Blackheart: Life does not begin at conception. It doesn't actually begin at all. Life is a continuum. If Life doesn't pre-exist in two separate forms, sperm and egg, prior to Conception, Conception does not occur. Do not be distracted by the error of "life begins at Conception". It began a long time before that. Try "Individuality begins at Conception" and you might be saying what you are trying to say.

abortion may be okay if and olny if it compromises the life of the mother as in the caSe of ectopic pregnancy wherein the baby (or fetus) is developing in the fallopian tube and if not removed, the fetus will still die and the mother will also die. So, there is no choice. But if abortion is done willfilly as in the case of unwanted pregnancies, then, it is murder. The baby already has life ever since the time of fertilization. It is life that we ourselves did not create, so we have no right to end it at all.

Murder is a legal word. I would like to see an actual law passed that regulated abortion. Personally I would allow women to have first trimester abortions but not have it paid for by the government. It should be voted on by the people or their representatives and not dictated by an activist court.

abortion is still legal, so no, it isn't murder. If we want our goverment out of our lives, then we need to leave abortion legal. I would never have one unless it endangered my life, but I don't have a right to make that decision for someone else and neither do you. As far as I am concerned, a fetus that will not live outside the mother, it is not a baby.

Abortion is wrong, but most of the Bush administration and people who voted for him a hypocrites. They whine about abortion, yet refuse to support universal access to contraception and comprehensive sex education to help REDUCE! some of the teen pregnancies, abortions and STDs.
In the United States, the teen pregnancy rate is more than nine times higher than that in the Netherlands, nearly eight times higher than the rate in Germany and nearly three times higher than the rate in France.
In the United States, the estimated HIV prevalence rate in young men ages 15 to 24 is over five times higher than the rate in Germany, nearly three times higher than the rate in the Netherlands, and about 1 ½ times higher than that in France.
In the USA, only nine states require sexuality education that includes information about contraception.
The Netherlands, where sexuality education begins in preschool and is integrated into all levels and subjects of schooling, boasts one of the lowest teen birth rates in the world — 8.2 per 1,000 women younger than 20.

I my opinion abortion is OK only in the first trimester. Plus, shouldn't you be worrying more about the babies who are already born whose parents can't afford basic necessities.
