Answers gives an inkling, but I also believe 360 gets you to a deeper level of knowing someone as much as you can thru the 'net. Still even in person, when do you really get to know everything there is to know about them?

I would say that you can find out more by IM than by Answers.

A combination really. I think if they answer my questions or ask questions and I get a chance to see more of them, it tells me something about their likes and dislikes. It gives me a sense of their basic personality.
360 or email opens more dialog and deepens the friendships.
I really don't IM much. It's more a time thing for me.
