A couple of minutes ago I posted a question where I said that I feel that Lil Boosie is the best rapper alive and I asked who else agrees. Not a single person agreed with me and a couple of the people who answered apparently think they know everything there is to know about hip hop, but no matter! So now I'm asking you to be honest and tell me who you think the best rapper of all time is. Don't fall into the trap of saying Tupac or Biggie or Nas or Jay Z because everybody else is saying it. Say who you truly feel is the best mc to rock the mic.

I'm not telling you that you can't put tupac biggie nas or jay z as your answer, I'm just saying don't put them unless you really believe them. And I already know about Illmatic Yay Area because my brother bought it when it first came out

If we are talking about the greatest mc then it would have to be...

1. Big Pun- No one could touch him.

2. Eminem- Funny **** and great mc

3. Biggie- Better Mc than Pac but songs aren't as great.

4. Nas- Great Songs n Lyrics. Killed Jay-z with Ether.

5. Tupac- One of my favorites rapper but
not a great mc but made better songs than the rest.

I know most of you will disagree with me but I don't care. I was born in Los Angeles and it was all pac, rakim, easy, ice cube, dre, and snoop when I was young. But as I grew, I wanted to know everything about them and their songs. Some have been great Mc's but they just can't write a song for s hit. Can't get a good beat or anything.

Right now it is Joell Ortiz, Game, Jay still be coming with it but he is running out of biggie's stuff lol, Mos Def, Juelz Sanatana, and sometimes Jeezy and Weezy.

Don't forget Immortal Technique and Omar Cruz. Check out dancing with the devil by Immortal Technique. That is really disturbing.

I have to be honest with you. 2Pac is more influential and the best rapper of all time. He's more than a rapper. He's a philosopher, social activist, and a damn good actor. He in the guinness book of world records as the best selling rapper of all time selling 75 million albums sold worldwide. All Eyez on Me was the best hip hop album of all time. He did that album less than 2 weeks and the Makaveli album in 7 days. And during the last year of his life he did 5 songs a day so his legacy will live forever. He's also good friends with alot of celebrities. Female artist Keyshia Cole knew 2Pac when she was younger. Rakim is good too. He is lyrically influential and his words made since. Alot of these rappers today like Boosie and Jeezy today ain't cutting it.

Tupac because man just the sound of his voice and lyrics gets me thinking and most of his songs i think are his best are not even well known. Po N**** Blues is so good I could listen to it all day. He was so real and his lyrics had so much passion and he could just flat out rap. His lyrics just made you think so deep and his words had such intellegence in them for what people called a dumb person in the ghetto. Even with money he stayed where he had raised up and never was fake even until that sad day. Tupac is the greatest to me without no question. Also out of the four I think B.G. a southern rapper is real good and his beats man ain't no better

HONEST TRUE HIP HOP FANS GONNA SAY TUPAC BIGGIE NAS AND JAY why cause thats the truth...they are the truth no doubt about it put they lyrics up to ANYBODYS......but Lil Wayne has found his creative lyrical side and is killing the game right now......To me you are not a REAL rapper if you cant freestyle....who is boosie???lol

1. Nas straight up. He is unstoppable on the mic with his narratives, rhyme patterns & wordplay. Just listen to his 1st album Illmatic you'll hear some of his most flawless lyrics & songs & he was only 19 at the time. But he just matures & gets better as he gets older.

2.Rakim has one of the best most catchiest rap lines & phrases. Their aren't a lot of rappers who can rap like Rakim with his complex lyrics. He's sick. You should try listening to him.

3.Ice Cube- Lyrics may be simple, but what he says, how he says it, & the topics that he picks in his rhymes just brings attention to any audience

2pac & Bigie are sick too. I think other people would tell you more about them.

The answer to this question is based on your personal preference. Somebody needs to listen to a wide variety of artists to narrow down which is the best "rapper".
I know my personal favorite is Big Daddy Kane. However I think the greatest rapper of all time would have to be KRS-One.
I just think that KRS-ONE is the complete package in terms of what my definition of an emcee is. From his performance at a show, to the delivery on the microphone. (GZA was pretty good as well)

Honestly, I really love Tupac the best, BUT if you're going to make me pick someone outside of the Big 4, I would have to go with RAKIM. I felt he was sort of under-rated in his time. Biggie is definitely NOT the best rapper, but I do recognize that people like him. But, I don't even put him in my top 5, his lyrics aren't that great "Girls pee pee when they see me??" nah. I'd go with RAKIM.

Since you said of all time...I have to say it's a cross between LL for his longevity and accomplishments, and Twista for his consitency in lyrics with such a complex style. Method Man comes next on my list and then Bun B.

I dunno how you can say boosie, what has he accomplished. he ain't really lyrical, you probably just like his voice. That girl that said Jeezy makes me wanna retch. But i would say the best ever is notorious b.i.g., he never spit a verse that wasn't tight. his flow is incredible. im not sayin this cuz everyone else is, I got his whole catalogue and he is ill.

2nd place, though, is Big Pun

Hon. Mention - Big L - he might be higher if his career wasn't so short.
