The USSR fell over a decade ago. Communism is DEAD, even though Fidel Castro and a few gaggles of spoiled rich kids are too stupid to admit it.

If communism has taken the form of liberalism, then you could argue that fascism has taken the form of conservatism...
Oh wait, fascists are actually liberals too, right?

There are Liberal Democrats in power who agree with Marx's belief that capitalism is evil, and that the Soviets had a noble idea that just somehow went sour. Deep down, they think they can make Marx's system work here.

Communism is dead? Someone needs to tell Hugo Chavez that. or china, or cuba, or N. Korea, or hillary clinton, or anyone with the last name Kennedy, or Finstein, or all the other pinko commie, liberal tree hugging, dope smoking, baby killing, queer kissing progressives in washington and around our country. :)

Maybe you forgot about China, who is financing a lot of Bush's fiascoes, and North Korea to name two examples.

Capitalism is the new Communism. It seeks to take ownership of all it can while retaining the power and wealth for itself and will stop at nothing to destroy those who oppose it's radical agenda. Communism seeks to establish a centralized industry under government control, whereas Capitalism seeks to centralize industry under one Giant Corporations (aka: conglomerates) monopolized control.

Communism has a new name, it is Liberalism (read Democrats) in our country. Sad, that is why I'm a Libertarian, or Independent. A lot of Republicans happen to lean to the far left, too. This doesn't suit me, either. I wish there was a different country to live in that is like the United States was in 1950-1960, but sadly to say, there isn't one anywhere in the whole world. :-(

The neo-cons use word like communism to try to scare the moderate Republicans. Fear is the main tool used by the right wing, and the Bush administration continues to use it today.
