I asked the question "is Lupin gay since his first name is Remus (REEM US)" and I got answers that were way overboard on how much of a jackass I was. I realize that he married Tonks and had a son. BUT IT'S A BOOK FOR GOD SAKES! CHILL OUT! I was just making a joke.

No offense taken, but you must admit it's a really lame joke, after all. You had it coming.
At the risk of causing you to smack yourself and go, "Oh, jeez, another Potter fanatic", I would like to mention that Rowling's portrayal of Lupin and the prejudices he faces as a werewolf are very much like those faced by gay folks in modern society. Rowling's no dummy, and the books are more than just children's stories. Hence the appeal, and the outsize reaction to implied criticism, at least for the moment. It's cool.

Well a lot of people LOVE the books (me included) and absolutely HATE it when people think that others are making fun of the characters (me included occasionally). So you need to realize that when you do something that might make someone else mad, even if it's just a joke, then you should EXPECT people to get mad at you.

I think that the fact that this entire section is overrun with repetitive Harry Potter questions is an even surer sign.

You must realize that Harry Potter to some people is more than a series...it is way of life.

So I warn you from now on to tread carefully through Harry Potter things...hehe.

Harry potter fan here and I take no offense to what you say... ;)
