assume we are not talking about winning a lotterry. if you try to succeed but failed you cannot possibly have tried to fail since your intention was to succeed n' not to fail.

if on the other hand you try to fail then why the hell did you enter into the competition in the first place? there is just no way that you could have succeeded since you wanted yourself to fail n' not to succeed.

I'm trying to make sense out of that question.
But... I would say that failing makes you a stronger person to succeed later on.

That's easy, you failed.The reason is that you were trying to fail, but you succeeded, and your didn't want to succeed, so you didn't achieve what you wanted, thus you failed.

Think of it this way, you are trapped in a cage with a horny gorilla. You wan't him to fail in making sweet love to you, because you don't want to have your rectum drilled. And because of your bad luck, the gorilla has its way with you, leading you softly in the adventure of love making.
You wanted him to failed in this, you tried to make him fail, you tried to fail in this, but you succeeded instead. So, in the end, you've failed.
