To meet more people, join a club, sport, or run for office. You have to put yourself out there, but it'll be totally worth it. In every one of your classes make it a point to talk to a different person everyday. You'll end up knowing SO many people, it'll be great!
People love people who are cool, confident, fun, funny, nice, and friendly. Don't overthink what you say. Just say it and be yourself.
Good luck!

the first suggesting i would have is have confidence there is nothing sexier than confidence don't let people tear you down when people see they can do this to you they will do it more and more don't talk about people behind there backs because 9 times out of 10 it gets back around to that person and it just causes drama be friendly always have a welcoming smile on your face try to start up conversations with people you don't know if you have a chance to work with someone on a class project get your work done but also try to start a new friendship jut be friendly be yourself and don't care what people think of you

I'm in high school myself and I've had friends go through this same thing. I just have a couple things to offer.
1. Be yourself. I know it gets thrown around a lot, but really.
2. Don't go drastic. I had a girl in my class two years ago that changed her hair to blue. Please don't.
3. Hang out with your close friends, but also try to hang out with a few people you don't know as well. Big group stuff is a great way to get to know more people and make more friends.
Good luck!

More of a change of attiude than a change of urself. Um might sound a little wierd but in HS its all about the attitude u take with u. And how u dress can make an impact but manily on who u hang out with really. U would be suprised how dressing different can affect the friends u have.

Style is specific to your region - I can't help you there. Macy's catalogs help though.
Making more friends - ask questions, get into a conversation, then say "we should continue this later, what's your number/e-mail?"
As to confidence - the short answer is fake it, and stick with it no matter what. Act as if. And go to the blog on my website and learn the simple relaxation technique I put there - it'll make being confident easier. www.myspace.com/thedavezone

first of all, getting new clothes isn't going to suddenly give you many new friends. i know people who wear the same hoodie every day and they still are friends with basically everyone in the school because they suddenly became outgoing and were really nice to everyone. just remember to always be nice, and that people aren't going to kill you if you talk. they want to be your friend! just remember that whenever you're having doubts. start off by asking them on the first day of school what their schedule is, and talk about how you heard the teachers were gonna be like. and then just smile at them. most people are good, remember that! good luck!

just be yourself..i know that you are really not shy inside because you want to change, the real you is surely open..so just try your best to talk to people. Start off by conversing with people not from your school..its a fresh new start.
Highschool is a perfect chance for change..so start introducing yourself hun =)

About the confidence thing:
My theory is that if you look confident ;
you can pull off anything ; even if you
have no clue what you’re doing.
for clothes shop at hollister or abercrombie.
Be more open... talk to people.
