For example, I have some acne scars on my back. Would it be inappropriate for someone like me to get a massage?

I could use one but at the same time I don't want to do anything inappropriate.

Of course it is appropriate! The massuer is there to help you not to judge you. That is like saying fat ppl or white ppl should not get a massage! Go get your massage and relax and enjoy it....

Not inappropriate at all!

Massage is even good for your skin and helps smooth out scars.

Go have a massage. There is no reason not to have one just because you have flawed skin, we all do in one way or another. Enjoy.

why would that be inappropriate? it's fine! if you need one then get one! if the people did care then it shows how immature they really are!

Nobody has perfect skin. Massage therapists see fat people, skinny people, people with scars, people with moles, etc. If you have any sensitivity around them, tell the masseuse; otherwise, enjoy yourself.

Well, I really don't know but, i would say that, if you just have scars, that should be okay...I mean, your paying, right!?
