I saw a birthday card with cute little monkey sitting in front of a huge frosted Birthday cake and i wondered.. can monkeys actaully eat birthday cake.. and not get sick from it.. Can they digest all the different sugars and such... I know that they predominatly (sp) eat Friuts and Veggies . I know that birthday cake is not proper nutrition for humans let alone animals...
I dont have a monkey.. or a cake for that matter,, I was just wondering if anyone out there can answer this question for me ..

I used to know someone that worked with monkeys. According to her, they love sweets - especially chocolate. In fact, given the choice between a banana and something sweet and chocolate, they'll always choose the sweet chocolate. And they can digest the sugars and such.

the average cake has an extreemly large amount of suger and suger alch. not to mention the fat and carbs. most animlas are not able to process such a large amounts of these substences. sure humans eat cake but if say it dosent do us harm look at the statistics. 80% more deaths now occur in our decade from diab. and related ilnesses. just look around and you can see the affect. im not saying cake is a menice to our society,lol, its just not the best thing for anyone

Hellz yes monkies can eat cake!!!! they're practically like a human. well,..i think they can. haha. if you ever do see a monkey eating cake in person, video tape it!!! then put it on youtube. i'm sure people will watch it. okay i'm getting off subject. i think they can. i've seen a monkey work out, play basketball, and direct a music video for fall out boy. if they can do that, then i'm sure they can eat cake. =]]

monkeys i have seen ate just about anything(they dont go much into meat though some are known to eat eggs and small birds). as a college girl my mom knew instances when monkeys tried to snatch her friends' lunch boxes. thyre pretty sneaky. i dont know how they will respond to the icing but theyll have no prob with the rest of it.
