I just purchased a network adapter (used) and it never came with a start-up disk. Do I need this start up disk? if so, where can i get it? .. and last but not least, What kind of cord will i need to plug into the back of my network adaptor?

No, you dont need a start up disc for most games. The games usually have the networking stuff included in the games. And you need a ethernet cable to connect it to your ps2. The samething thats plugged in from your modem or router to your computer.

Go to the web site of the network adapter maker for the start up disc equivalent software.
Most likely you need a straight cat 5 patch cable
