This is the corollary to a previous question I wrote about ALL of my ex's not including me in their family at all. My girlfriends never acknowledge me as family (my last relationship was 5 years long!) and try extremely hard to keep me away from their families. ALL of them are openly lesbian. I refuse to date anyone "in the closet". However, I'm a little tired of spending all holidays alone while my girlfriend goes to see her family, etc. Although I lived with my most recent ex for 3 of the 5 years, her daughter thought I was "just visiting" every single day... Is there a legitimate reason for this behavior?
I feel like I'm totally worthless because of this. However, I am a successful singer, a world champion athlete, and am now in law school. It doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Again, I do NOT date people who are not ENTIRELY OUT. All of their families KNOW about their sexuality and our relationship in particular.

Usually the family is the one who invites me to attend things and the girlfriend always says NO WAY.

Unfortunately, the short answer is: they just aren't that into you. Sorry for the cliche but if you really think about it, I'm sure although you may have had (in past relationships) what I call, intimacy through proximity, you probably never had the type of reciprocal intimacy that is so, so hard to find. I believe that when you are truly close to someone you can both share your fears and insecurities w/out the fear that they will one day be used against you. When you meet that special person you both will "know" and any past hang-ups, defense mechanisms will begin to diminish as you both feel the warmth and completeness of true love; where you feel safe to let that person see you as you truly are and trust that they will love you, all of you. And that includes not doing things that "hurt" your feelings, even if they might feel that it's silly or unimportant. I'm sorry that you seem to have been taken for granted; it's their loss. Fear not, you just need to find that one special person.

I could supply a severe answer: springing up with a itemizing of motives could point out that one became actively searching for the companionship of a stripper -- which might probable advise the guy has ulterior motives in doing so. So, permit me say that i've got effortless some adult women and men who have been strippers and/or intense-classification escorts. None of them have been gin-soaked low-life cretins -- they have been smart, acceptable, humorous, and had astounding organization experience. Eroticism is in basic terms considered one of those issues which would be marketed and dealt with like a commodity -- sturdy outdated "furnish and insist." Sexuality is a universal urge in people, and if somebody has to pay for it simply by fact they do no longer look to be getting it at homestead, that could desire to be neither a criminal offense nor dealt with with derision/condemnation -- as long simply by fact the interest is in the back of closed doorways.

You are lame about the sin of homosexuality. That doesn't exist.
I say they aren't right for you. It is almost like they are aren't acknowledging you as a human being. Hope everything works out. Happiness is everything.

The families may know but do they accept?. Are there conditions to their acceptance? 'Alright you are a lesbian but dont you bring anyone home'. Talk to your partner, tell her it is bothering you and get the reason behind it.
