In fact, once I wrote a lengthy answer and when I went to submit it, the question was gone! Phantom question, indeed!

That has happened alot! I think what happens is, it usually is a question that gets people fired up, some one reports it for abuse or what ever, then yahoo just deletes it! If a question that you have answered is deleted, they should at least let you know!
Personally, I don't report no body unless it is a spammer.

Yeah or I answer a question and AS I'm answering it, the person picks their best answer. So by the time I get back to the page it says "This question has already been resolved." Oh its so annoying lol

Dont think I have. I had good answers deleted from my question, and then bad ones rot like they earned the two points.
Why? Will you delete this question?
