Me and my friend were both upstairs in my new house when my mother yelled my "JESSICA GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE!!!" And when I went down my mom scolded me about a scorch mark on the floor, apparently the lamp on my geckos cage was standing with its light standing down onto the floor, and there was a scorch mark on the carpet from where the lamp burnt, I mean BURNT the carpet. Apparently if my mom hadn't gone down there now we would have had a house fire, while we were asleep. (we were just getting ready for bed) that could have killed us all! Me and my friend, (we're 21 in from cali) weren't down there when this happened and this week we've been hearing movement around the house and I heard some one down stairs repeating the word what in an angered tone. Nobody WOULD have done this and my mom just moved into the house a couple weeks ago. The lady who lived here had lived here for 30 years and her husband died in this house, whats going on and how do we stop it?

First off ghost are totally harm-less they could not hurt a fly.... But demons on the other hand are very, very dangerous and they do have the power to kill the human body or destroy the human mind or possess the human body.... I am not sure as to what is really going on... It could have been an accident... But on the other hand it may not have been... There are other signs that demons leave behind... So there has to be other things that are going on in your home... So what you're saying is that the light was on/in the cage of an animal that potentially could have knocked the light from it's original place and you're wanting to know if a "ghost is out to kill you"?
1) I suggest you first rule out any possibility that the light jiggled loose somehow or if the animal got startled and knocked it off.
2) Generally speaking, people don't start to wonder if a "ghost is going to kill them" until a whole bunch of crap happens...not just one instance of a lamp that could have easily been knocked down by the animal inside.
3) Keep a log of events in order to provide more substantial "proof".
4) Exorcism is for people that are possessed.

It wouldn't have been a ghost. It could have been a poltergeist, though. They can move things in this plane.
"There are several ways to go about "getting rid" of a ghost. One way is to have a priest or another member of a religious order to bless the house, or to perform an exorcist, depending on the activity in the house. Another way would be to have a person or group come in and perform a cleansing. This is when they "clean" the house of spirits, essentially sending them on their way."

You should try to learn as much as you can about the previous owners of the house to see if there is anything simple you can do to correct this on your own. Contacting a medium or holy person should be the last thing you do.

maybe contact a medium or someone who can send him throuhg the light i dont recomend doing it yourself.
