Hi,
The first thing I would recommend is that you get good training.
There are a lot of similar questions here on answers, but yours has a different twist on it and for that I congratulate you.
You asked how to become a "(Successful) actress...get in the business of acting."
Acting is a business! That is something that is often overlooked. Unfortunately, the best actors don't always get the work, because they don't know how to get themselves seen by the right people. To do that, business skills help tremendously.
That said, you number one priority right now is still getting some training. Plus you got some other good advice here too.
I'll just add one more thing. Because I answer questions like this a lot and to keep from writing the same or similar answers over and over again, I have created a 36-page ebooklet that answers your question pretty thoroughly.
Just go to http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/acs-blog.html , sign in on the right side of the page and you can download it for free. It's called: What It Takes To Become An Actor.
Good luck!
Tony

Join your school Drama Club, shoot a movie with your friends and post it on the internet or send it to an acting studio. Your best bet is joining your school drama club or enrolling in a drama class in your area and you will eventually become and actress and prolly be successful.

There are lots of opportunities. Are you taking Drama in high school? Trying out for the school plays? Do you live in or near a big city - you might check into acting schools, modeling agencies (they also handle actors). Does your city have a community theatre? Read biographies of your favorite actors.
Keep your focus, take baby steps forward.

You have some good advice in the previous answers. The only way to start is to start acting in whatever plays are available to you. Read all the plays you can. Read books on acting. If you can afford it and one is available, go to acting school. Just have fun doing it. Acting is, after all, called playing.

ok, first take a couple years of acting lessons, than get involved in community theatre. After you have done a few shows there, get an agent. they can tell you all you need to know about getting auditions and can get you into closed auditions.
