LOL, talk about the WRONG STUFF! First they had Lisa Nowak go postal on her romantic rival for the guy that she was cheating on her husband with. Then they had that gunman (who had a PhD) holding up one of their buildings, killing a hostage. Now I’m hearing about astronauts getting like, wasted dude, right before takoff. In another case, one of NASA’s workers sabotaged one of the computers that was intended to be fitted into the space station. What’s wrong with NASA lately?

It's a mess, eh?
Many thousands of people work for NASA. Vast majority are unexciting geeks and nerds. I know a few myself.
NASA's pretty high-profile and in the news. Statistically, they're probably more mentally stable than the rest of us. I've worked for smaller organizations that had more problems. But they sure are having a bad run, aren't they?
Good God, how do you have so many answers and still have nearly half your answers best answer? Throw some of that love my way and gimme a best! Please?

They need me to run things. I would fix it all. I would allow drinking 6 hours before a flight as long as the drinkers promise to have no more than 2 drinks. I'd also let them drink in space provided they get their work done. I'd give the astronauts decorations like streamers and disco balls to hang up all over the orbiter along with a good collection of heavy metal music and pop tunes, etc. to play during the mission (at least one astronaut must where the headphones at all times to link them with NASA). This will make them happier. And 6 hours before re-entry, I'd let them have 2 drinks to celebrate their return. NO DRUGS, of course! This would fix all the problems. Let the astronauts loosen up so they can fly the shuttle better and be in a good outgoing mood for the landing and interviews that follow. I believe these changes would help NASA run more efficiently.

There has always been **** going on with NASA but the reason its at the forefront these days is NASA's budget is up for review next year and theres talk of cutting it altogether. They have to rally support so that when the time comes, no one will miss it

David pretended he was crazy in 1 Samuel 21:13. But David had a great reason for doing what he did.

a series of mistakes steaming from exsssesive funding and poor leadership. has left them in a baffled flood of real thought and intelligence they did not anticipate. hopefully they embrace change and make huge reforms in their spending habits. space sounds cool but i think we have more pressing issues here on earth. like louisiana instead of texas maybe? or the boiling of our oceans for profit? elections ahead lend hope to a broken ridiculed nation. pray for guidance. power to the peace full. namaste. good luck! dominic

It's not NASA as much as it is the younger generation of astro-techies that have the "wrong stuff".
It all comes down to misbehavior without consequences as a kid. I blame their parent and the ACLU.

It's just a facade - a way to soak more free money out of us. They have light-years' better technology, and these guys are simply getting tired of holding up that facade!
These "rockets" - they're like basically a design from the 1940's, no?
The black ops have got better tech, they're using better tech. And these guys are just feeling left behind.

Sorry--it's in the nature of the corrupt administration that is managing the government these days. After a couple more good elections, things will smooth out.
