It's stereotyping, which is something open-minded, intelligent people try not to do. You can't make a blanket statement about an entire group of people simply based on race. Regardless of our ethnicity, we're all individuals.

I have met, worked with many peoples from around the world.

You will find the occasional person who are dishonest, rude, lazy, loud, etc from any and all backgrounds including yours and mine.

As some others put it, do not stereotype and stop being a racist

Start looking for positive characteristics instead of concentrating on the negative traits of individuals.

Learn about the different cultures and do open your mind.

Good Luck

not really, cultures carry a general set of ideals with it; but if you are worried that you are making poor assumptions do some research, it cant hurt.

as far as the honesty thing goes, different cultures have different "qualifications" about what it takes to be honest, if you feel that Japanese men are more honest/dishonest than American men, do some research and learn about what it takes to be considered an honest man in the Japanese culture.

I think whether were willing to admit it or not we all make assumptions based on culture. The trick is to not let your assumption have the final word. Try to keep an open mind and judge people by what you learn about them. It's not necessarly bad, it's normal. It's bad to end it with your assumption and not give them a chance. Good assumptions are made too.

okay maybe I see things differently due to the fact I am south american /german /asian and middle eastern decent ...but in my experience in life race has nothing to do with it !!! White guys more honest ?? japanese guys less okay I know many dishonest white guys probably the same amount of dishonest asian guys ...people are individuals ...even you are ! Not everyone in your race shares your same values or beliefs.
being half chinese(asian ) I am sorry but my family members that are are very honest due to morals and beliefs brought up with ? Maybe you should involve yourself in making friends with more asians and then you will have a different point of view

Not at all. Its a defense mechanism that all humans use to feel the other guy out. I think it is find as long as you have an open mind and can accept another reality other than the ones we have created in our heads.

Races have to fix themselves first before they can look out their own culture, if everyone practiced what they believe we would have none of that so called prejudice.
