The question implies a finite point in time at which god began to exist. It is said that God surpasses all human understanding.
Perhaps God's existence is based on a reality where the entire continuum of time as we know it exists in a way where it can all be viewed simultaneously, the way that we might look at the entire length of a yardstick whereas an insect crawling along its length might only see that portion of the yardstick through which it was travelling.
If such might be the case, then perhaps the question is flawed due to our inability to comprehend the reality in which God exists.
Of course, that would be only speculation.

I think it was Isaac Azimov who had a couple nice very short stories that deal with this matter. In one all of the nations join their computers together into a massive computer system. A scientist asks it the question, "Is there a God?" There is a blinding flash of lightning, the circuits are fused on and there is a loud voice saying "There is now". In another a child traveling with his family in space asks his father if everything is going to end eventually and run down. The father says "let's ask the universal computer system if entropy is reversible". They ask the computer and the computer says it doesn't have enough data to determine. This goes on for another 50 billion years or more, all the stars die out, there is just darkness and the computer is processing the question while existing in a sort of dark space. The computer finally processes the information and has an answer but no one to share it with. To solve that, the computer says "Let there be light".

That is a mystery to humans, I believe there was nothing before God. We don't know how and where God came from, if he wanted us to know then we would know. There's no human of any kind that can explain this question because God's powers created us and we don't have near the power to completely understand.

I love how everyone says, he was always there, or he was just there. So tell me this, if it can just create itself, then how is it you dont believe that we naturally evolved, cuz in a sense thats possible, if he has just always been there and no one created him then how is it we didnt just happen to create ourselves ??? Life long question which you will only know the answer to when you are dead and 6 feet deep. Dont contemplate it too much, you will know, just live your life and be happy

By definition, the Christian God never came into existence; that is, He is the uncaused cause (Psalm 90:2). He was always in existence, and He is the one who created space, time, and matter. This means that the Christian God is the uncaused cause and is the ultimate creator. This eliminates the infinite regression problem.
Some may ask, "But who created God?" The answer is that by definition He is not created; He is eternal. He is the One who brought time, space, and matter into existence. Since the concept of causality deals with space, time, and matter and since God is the one who brought space, time, and matter into existence, the concept of causality does not apply to God since it is something related to the reality of space, time, and matter. Since God is before space, time, and matter, the issue of causality does not apply to Him.

Well, what i believe is g-d was always there. No one created him. But, one day he decided there should be living things. That was when he started making the world, and finished 6 days later, meaning he took 6 days and then rested on the seventh,(Saturday). That is also how days of the week were created.

Since you don't offer us any scientific evidence or observational proof of what you are asking us about, I can only assume that YOU created god.
I wish yahoo would catagorize questions better so they could only be asked ONCE not 5,000 times.
