That implies that the ACLU is dishonest.

It isn't. That's not to say that they don't stick up for some crazy issues and fringe people. But as long as they are allowed to do what they do it still lets me keep a little faith in the integrity of the system.

I wish we knew. The ACLU is the most ridiculous group I have ever seen. I am a devoted Democrat but when I saw the ACLU defending the child predators from NAMBLA I tore up my card.

it doesnt. if you feel your rights are infringed upon, then take it to court. thats how this works.

Quite frankly, because people seem to want it that way. They don't tell their congresspeople otherwise. Write your politicians and tell them how you feel about it.
