The most, and even thats extreme, a hacker can do is wipe your hard drive. They cant kill your whole system. Most hackers at the most will steal files and take over your computer (keyboard and mouse) for a bit. Please tell us what Anti-Virus programs u have. I have-

Ad-Aware
Spybot
Windows Defender
Windows Firewall
Ashampoo Firewall
Trojan Remover
Im paranoid so u don't have to have all that, but id recommend at least an Anti-Virus and those 2 firewalls. Their fool-proof against hackers as they hide all your computers ports so the hacker has no way to get into your computer

They can do something to kill your operating system and your hard drive. But they can't KILL your computer.
