Basically, I know the Age of Consent in both Georgia and Pennsylvania is 16, and age difference limits are 4 years. Legal age is 18. The law in Georgia is that a 19 year old could participate in certain interactions with a 16 year old, but not with a 13 year old... So here's where my question comes in.

I'm almost 16. Will be in October anyway. The other person is 14. will be 15 next May. She is intending on visiting next May as well, and neither of us are stupid enough to do anything we know we shouldn't do. I'm quite mature, trust me. Going to college later this year in fact, getting a part-time job, etc.

But my question is, is there a limit on what we can and can't do together just with this 1½ year difference? Or would it be illegal to do anything aside from hugs, kisses, etc.?

Basically my question is: Would any form of intercourse, or foreplay, be legal between us at our current age, or would she have to be 16 for anything to be allowed?

*Yes, I'm 16, going to college, and getting a job. If you want to ask questions about anything off-topic of this question, please IM me instead. [the_xd_face].*

To note, 16 is age of consent. So once she's 16 there is no legal problem whatsoever, that I'm sure of. I'm just wanting to know if, legally, her parents or my parents could do anything against _me_ for consensual activity between the two of us when I'm 16 and she's 15. It's just one of those curiousity moments.

The age law trumps the consent law (only because it is more specific). This just means that the person that is 16 has the legal right to have sex with someone up to the age of 18. The 19 year old is now to old, and the 16 year old no longer has that right.

You are both minors so this does not come into play. The age of consent, legal age, age difference comes into play when one person is a legal adult and the other is still a minor. Considering you are both minors there is not a problem. Also since you two are only a year and a half difference there is no big deal. There would probably be a problem if you were sixteen and she was say 12 or younger. But a year and half and you are both under the age of 18 have no worries.

I am not a lawyer but my understanding is that if you are 16 and she is 14 you are fine. She is within 4 years of your age. The problems arise when you turn 18 and are considered an adult. She will still be a child and it may be classifed as stat rape, though at that point she will be over the age of consent so you should be okay.

If you guys do end up doing "stuff" make sure you use protection and make sure she is ready and not just doing it to make you happy. Did mention use protection? Don't take risks, seriously do you want to be a dad while at college?

in PA as far as i know, they can try. it has succeeded on less. it sucks but thats how it is. the 4 year difference thing only means that you wont automatically be charged with statutory or corrupting the morals of a minor by the state. The parents can still bring charges against you because you are above the age of consent.

If you are both under age, it is illegal. Called Statuatory Rape.

Stick to kissing and hand holding. Wait for sex until you are BOTH over 18. If it's meant to be, the wait is worth it.

It's illegal if she's underage. Your age difference simply doesn't matter since she is so young.
