are robots the future?

is that what all this new techno stuff is Cuz I dont understand it
everything is going to be in a robot now

phone, internet, pc, music and even food capsules?

yes, robots are the future. but I don't think you should be as alarmed as you seem to be.
'robots' in the general term means an autonomous machine that performs a task so that you don't have to. an answering machine could be a considered a robot in the very most basic terms. it detects the phone ringing and executes a series of tasks (playing a message, recording).
so as time passes, yes, a robot of some complexity will show up every where, making your food, driving your car, cleaning, etc. but it will be gradual. when the technology is good enough to perform a task the wealthy, early adopters, will buy the first. and then just like cruise control and VCRs, the price will drop and the general population will want it.
