their should be a cool side and a basking side for your iguana. a 100 or 120 watt uva bulb with suffice that will run you about 6 bux. they should have it 95f on the hot side and no cooler than 85f on the cool side!
you need a uvb strip bulb, these will run you about 20$ and you need to replace them every 6 months! you can get a holder for all three of your bulbs that will run you about 30$.
you also need an infared night bulb a 90 watt should do, that will cost about 6$ as well. you also should provide a nice big area so he can soak. remember the humidity needs to be 75% at all times, especially when its shedding! you should have a humidity gauge and thermometer on both sides to monitor things closly. ps the uva and uvb bulbs are a vital key to the health of your iguana, as well as its diet. go to wnyherp.org to get the diet you should have for it!!

About 95F at the basking site. You can use a regular light bulb, like a 100watt, in a dome reflector. Distance will determine temperature. You an indoor/outdoor digital thermometer with a probe. Tape the probe to the basking platform and set the thermometer to "outside". This is the most accurate way of monitoring temps....stick on and dial thermometers are very inaccurate.

They cannot get "sunlight" through a window...the UVB is completely blocked. You must provide UVB in the form of a fluorescent fixture.

I keep my place between 80 - 90 sometimes it gets about 92 F. Higher than that is too hot. Sometimes it'll slip to 75 but not too often. Anything below that will kill your iguana quickly. Heating lamps and hot rocks are a waste of money. The best is just using a simple table lamp for them to bask on. I keep mine infront of the window so he gets plenty of sunlight.
