I need to get a computer for myself (im 14) to be able im my friends on, do my homework, surf the net, and maybe hook up a printer to.
What is the best brand, and type? (desktop, laptop) for about $300

My last computer was an emachine and it worked great. I updated for more memory. Bought a compaq. It's no better than an emachine. Here's a link for a price under $300.

compaqs are pretty cheap. and you can also get acers at low prices too.
