Everything disappeared from my desktop and I don't have a clue how it happened, or how to get everything back onto it. Any geeks out there? Thanks!

Open task manager(Ctrl,alt,del) then click file>New task.Then type in explorer.exe and hit enter.This will bring your desktop back up.

well... that can occasionally happen to older computers ( I should know) but possibly if you try restarting it, if that doesn't work you can go to the desktop, right click like you would if as if you were to change the picture, but instead go down to where it says refresh desktop, or maybe even try ling up icons and they might appear... if this doesn't help, I hope you get it fixed!
