Griffon is their newest coaster, so hit that as soon as you get in the park. From there, go to Alpengeist since they are close by each other. Then Loch Ness Monster, Big Bad Wolf, and Apollo's Chariot, but not in any particular order.

The food is the best amusement park food I've ever eaten. My favorite place to eat is Trapper's Smokehouse. It's a bit pricey (about $8), but for that price, you can get a half grilled chicken, fries, and a roll. They also have a really good sampler platter that has their chicken, ribs, and brisket.

If you go on Curse of Darkastle, hit that early in the day. The bulk of the line is in a courtyard, and there's no shade, so you'll be very hot.

For shows, check out the Irish Dancers in Ireland. The theatre is air conditioned. Same with the Castle O' Sullivan which is right next door.

As far as outside food goes, I'm not sure if you can bring stuff in. Check their website for info on that (www.buschgardens.com).

Also, the best time to go to the park is on the weekdays. Friday's and Saturdays are the busiest. If you go on a weekend, get there early and head straight for Griffon.

If you really want to guarantee your rides on Griffon, they had a breakfast special going for a while, not sure if they still have it, but it was basically $30 for an all you can eat breakfast, plus, all the rides you could get on Griffon before the general public could ride it. The info was on the website, not sure if it's still there.

let me say, the roller coasters are awesome. The lines are pretty bad, on some days, it all depends on time, but they are worth it. =] It is very clean there, and the aviary is very nice. The food is wonderful, and it is a great place for families. If you do not like confined spaces, beware of the line for the ride "Cork Screw Hill" The ride (3D theater) is roomy and comfortable, but the line is like you are walking through a tunnel, 10 ft. wide. (not exactly sure, but i think that is about right.) All together it is a great experience for the whole family. It is one of those places, you can keep going to and you will NEVER get bored.

HAVE FUN!!!

did i mention it is CLEAN! =]

Outside food may not be allowed, and the prices are average for a theme park, but it is not like theme park food, it is like sit down restaurant, good. I do not exaggerate, the food is wonderful, but because it is a theme park, it may be considered a little pricey, but it is wonderful.

OK, I just want to let you know that Busch Gardens is my all-time fav. amusement park. it's very clean and safe and th e staff is very friendly. these are the top rides and my personal experiences:
apollos chariot-first drop is 240 feet, lots of airtime
the loch ness monster-a classic with two inversions right over the water
the big bad wolf-pretty smooth with one drop over the water and lots of scenery
griffin-one word, sweet, the newest ride there.
alpengeist-inversion after inversion this ride twist you around a lot
escape from pompeii-it's one of those flume rides with a big drop and splach at the end
HAVE FUN!!! :)

i've got been to King's Dominion such a great number of cases, that's not even exciting anymore. Busch Gardens is plenty greater useful, plus they have greater of a topic to it than King's Dominion, and you will savour a distinctive style of stuff! Are you from VA?
