I've been getting tattooed for over 22 years, I don't give a crap who likes them. If anyone thinks it makes them cool, well goody for them. I like ink and I don't care who doesn't.

I have a friend who let me design his tattoos, and the artist recreated my designs. They all have individual, personal meaning to us. One of the is pretty silly (El Coqui holding a huge pipe wrench), but perfect for a Puerto Rican plumber. One has my name with hearts and flowers. One is an American flag with an eagle. The others are his kids' initials.
On the other hand, there are a lot of women these days with tribal tattoos on their lower backs ... that seems to me to be a fashion trend rather than a personal statement of individuality. But for each his/her own!

Ohhhh-- good question!!
I got my first tattoo almost 20 years ago and had wanted to get it a couple of years before that. Over the past 4 years, I have gotten 9 more and they are all uniquely me. No one else has anything like them and they each have a story that means something.
For me, they are individual, but I think each person has to answer that for themselves.

Mark of individuality no one will ever have the exact tattoo all artists do theirs different. I have had 3 different tattoo artists work on my 4 tattoos and they all define me as well my love of frogs and 4 skulls for my kids named to god love them skulls and a black heart for my sone that passed on July 6,1988

It's just a fad, fed by the media. Those that get them are always sorry eventually. I wouldn't have one for any kind of money. I've got scars, emotional and physical. That's enough.

I have 16 tattoo's, and I think it's more of a drunk experience for me. lol

rebel wannabe's at first, now it's to fit in (sheep).......no tats or extra holes in my bod - I stand out more nowadays being myself.
