Recently for my new fish I completely revamped my tank into a whole new setup. I used to have neon gravel, an assortment of ornaments, pink , blue and purple plasric plants. I started to think all the artifical dyes, and plastic might have been affecting my tank. When my Ryukin died I completely revamped the tank with natural gravel, a live plants and no coloured ornaments.
Which do you prefer and has what I did made any difference to the health of my future goldfish?

The only effects I have ever seen studied on any type of decor in fish tanks (outside of chemical safety that is) was a series of tests done concerning gravel color. Without boring you with the details that I can barely remember anyway, it showed that fish generally did better over a darker colored gravel than a lighter colored gravel. I don't recall if neon colors were included in the testing. Also, they didn't test plant colors at all, I do recall that the plants and their placement was the same for all tanks and all fish. So to answer your question on if it made any difference, in theory yes it did. Far more important of course is proper maintenance and filtration.
Personally, I like the look of dark brown and natural colors of gravel, especially with a black background and live plants. It just seems more natural and the fishes real colors seem to show up better.

I dont think the gravel, plants, or ornaments affect the fishes health at all. If they werent safe for the fish im sure that the stores wouldnt sell them for fish and would say on the package not for fish/aquarium use. But the more natural look kindof makes the tank more relaxing yah know?? Instead of all these neon colors hitting your eyes at once like BAM. Now your fish will be the main attraction. :]

None of that would affect the fish, but it sure looks nicer to have a "natural" setup than a neon Goldfish tank. The live plant will help to eliminate small amounts of waste, and provide a snack (and laxatives) for the Goldfish. Let's say, it will help everything run smoothly... which is good.

the dyes and fake ornaments will not affect the fish neither will the gravel, however i personally think that fish enjoy natural ornaments more because they are from the wild and i hate manmade arnaments because they are bright, ugly, and in some cases dangerous for fish. i think that the changes you have made will be very good for the gold fishes and they will thank you for a long happy life!

Most dyes used in aquarium products are safe for your fish. I personally can't stand the neon gravels, but that is my opinion. I'm sure most people would think my cichlid tank is ugly from the huge piles of gravel and knocked over decorations.

like reported the inventory lights on a biocube isn't adequate to maintain any anemones long term. Your terrific with getting T5 or steel halides if anemones are that significant. however the inventory lights would be advantageous for delicate corals, mushrooms, polyps, zoanthids, and decrease mild LPS corals. Your inventory checklist is likewise advantageous, the BC29 is a sturdy newbie point aquarium and can carry a sturdy load of bioload.

no problems, but i think the natural look is 10000000% precent better looking, i gues that i like my aquariums to look like a little piece of the enviroment they came from, or what i would like tit to look like anyways lol, i think that all the colors distract form the naturela beauty of the fish
