I wouldn't use green tea personally. Dried mature tea would be the better choice. Based on what I have seen from testing it, I would use one tea bag in a tank and watch the pH carefully to be sure it doesn't drop too quickly or too low. That will depend on the tank, the specific tea and your specific water chemistry.

That said, you probably don't need to add anything to your tank, bettas will breed in a very wide range of pH and odds are excellent that if your fish live in it, they will breed in it.

for like the third time, i wouldnt recomend it.

Breeders in thailand dont do it, and im sure that is for a reason,

i use banana leaves, but what your taking about, just get dried almond leaves, try ebay, it is like 10 for a dollar.
