Absolutely not okay. You should not be expected to live in a hostile environment and he has to realize this. If he were to take you to court he would lose. If you have stayed there any part of the month though, you would be expected to divide 550 by the number of days in the month (for this month it would be 17.74) and then pay this daily amount for each day you were there.

I wouldn't feel very welcome there being mistreated like that!
I'd be packing my bags immediately and leave without notice of where I was going.

I don't know your circumstances but why are they charging you $550 per month to take their abuse? Isn't that a little high priced? Is that 550$ the same amount they pay per month? It that divided fairly 3 ways? If not, I think you are being taken advantage of.

Sure it's OK. Just give them at least 30 days notice and see what happens. Her attitude may quickly change. Also, did you do something outrageous for her to call you that?

I can't believe your brother charges you that much for rent.

Could this be a Jerry Springer story?

Depending on your relationship with your brother.
If he is asking for it because he is trying to be "dirty" then I wouldn't pay.
If he was asking for it because you moved on the last day of the month and you didn't pay it on the first of the month.
But you should take to him and see why he is asking for this money. Perhaps he is frustrated and stuck between you too.

Yes its okay to move out,if you want to move out. Its your life, only you can live it,and besides,no one should have to put up with being degraded. 550? a month,I'd have my own place. Do what YOU want to do:0)

I don't mean to be rude, but were you acting like a f___ b____? Did you have a job or go to school, or did you just sit on the couch and mooch? I wonder if she wanted you to live there in the 1st place, and she was just so angry to see you there.

If you leave your brothers house, you are under no obligation to pay him anything. Why would he be so mean to you? and why does sewer mouth call you such filthy names? I would get out as soon as you can.
