Nothing would happen on a global scale. You would have a massive number of people with aching arches and injured knees, and the earth would go on its merry way and wouldn't even have to pretend it didn't happen.

Here's a little idea of the math of things, just to show how insignificant that human effort would be. So you have 1.3 billion people, let's say they average out at a weight of 70 kilograms, that means you've got 91 million metric tons of hopping humanity. Well that sounds pretty impressive right? Well not in comparison to the fat old Mother Earth.

Current estimates of the weight of the earth are just under 6 sextillion metric tons. Which means that our whole Chinese jumping human beans make up .000000000000001516% of the weight of the earth.

The earth is rotating on its axis at about 30 kilometers per second, and speeding through space in its orbit at 105,000 kilometers per hour.

What would happen if all the Chinese jumped? It would effect the earth in a similar way to a microscopically sized moth splatting on the front of an 18 wheel Tractor/Trailer which is being driven by Keannu Reeves with a bomb in the back. All it could possibly accomplish is creating more existential ennui for a whole bunch of people who thought that human beings made a bit of difference in this universe with their physical presence.

The day would lose or gain one second. That would be scary, but then we might intercept the message giving the exact time they plan to do this. Then, we could order everyone in the western hemisphere to jump at the same time. We could cancel out their effect and maybe save the world some time.

- Deep Thoughts...
