the only racial thing is that the dogfighting ring he allegedly runs happens to be mostly frequented by african americans, and people say its a part of their culture meaning Vick and his friends, but animal abuse is animal abuse no matter what color... then again if matt leinart was fighting dogs, im not sure if hed be facing up to 6 years in prison, but thats just general racial bias :)

Its a race issue because of the attention and negative reaction its getting. Dog fighting has been going on for 50 years, people act like it just started yesterday. If Brett Favre or somebody was accused of dog fighting different situation, some way say " he was raised in that cultural its not his fault". Chris Benoit murdered his wife and son, but its referred as a "sad tragedy" But its a well known African American athlete, so hang me. Unless someone has video or some type of visual evidence showing that he was involved, hold your judgments.

The race card is always played. I was the Supply Officer on a small ship and had this Cook (MS2)that could not cook to save his butt.
The Crew hated him. He would complain to me it was because he was Jewish.
It wasn't that, it was that he was a crappy cook and served crappy food every meal.
Navy Guys: I know it was my responibilty to fix this and I did the best of my Ensign abilty, but the guy was a rock. This also had nothing to do with the fact he was Jewish. My MS1 had checked out to NADSAP. The hero of the situation was a very junior MS3. That happened to be black. Did the crew hate him because he was Black? No they loved him because he could cook.
Race had nothing to do with it. But it was an issue.

They are playing the so-called "race card" just like they did in the O.J. Simpson case. To me race has absolutely nothing to do with the question. If he is guilty, then he should be a "MAN"- like he thinks he is and take responsibility for what he did!!!!!!!!!!!
He is trying to slide out of the responsibility of his actions!!!!!!!!!!
