Fun is in your mind. Not in what you are doing. Design a space for your adventure in your mind, then apply it to your life. Think like and Warlock, think like an Alchemist.Find a craft and practice your craft. Learn to skate, dance draw, write. Study Egyptian Hieroglyphics. Write a new sequence for a Harry Potter book of your own. Design a long distance race for three legged men. Fun is in your mind. The fact that you can, makes it possible to have an adventure. Harry Potter is in the authors head and now in yours. Think about that. The world is waiting but you need to practice using your wand a little longer.

Well, Shopping, life is the adventure you make it. I certainly understand how you feel, though. There was no one on my block to play with, and my other friends were only during school year. I took summer school classes for fun. My favorite was acting. I did a play every summer for 5 years. In high school I kept taking summer school, and night school classes, and that helped me graduate a year early.
Now, I love art, and there are more "media," meaning types of materials to do art with now than then, so that could be a lot of fun. Crafts are fun, too. If you get stuck for ideas you could email me through my profile, and I will make "assignments" for you to do.
Here are some more ideas:
Take your bike (and some friends) to the zoo or park.
Visit an aquarium, a public one if you have one in your town, or an aquarium store if you don't.
Take some dance or gymnastic lessons, and practice a lot.
Start planning a great Halloween costume now, and make it yourself.
Learn needle point and do some on your clothes.
Watch the DIY channel and learn a new craft, or crocheting.
Plant a small garden in your yard and take care of it.
Have your mom help you learn how to cook a nice dinner -all yourself.
Invite some friends/relatives over for a sleep-over, you fix all the food, or you could make it a pot luck, and have your friends bring a game to play. Give prizes for each game, and for whoever wins the most games. If you have already learned a new craft, teach your friends that craft at the party.
Since you have already read the Harry Potter series, read something like Huckleberry Fin, or other literature that you haven't read yet.
Volunteer at a place that feeds the homeless, or some kind volunteer "job" that appeals to you.
Read some of your early Harry Potter books to children you know.
Talk your mom into going with you on your bikes to a place you haven't been before. After you have both built up to longer bike trips, take an all-day trip with a picnic lunch. Maybe you can get your friends to join you. There may be bike clubs near you, or if not, start your own.
It's too bad we really can't have Harry Potter's adventures, but there are other things to do!

O.K, here's some real help... pick something that you like to do, other than t.v. and set a goal- example, when I was your age I liked to ride my bike. I decided that I was going to ride my bike from California to New York. I started training for that by riding my bike everyday-each day I'd ride a little farther. I also rode a little faster. I got pretty good. There was adventure too! No make believe crap you see in the movies but real life stuff! Day to day adventure that you'll never experience if you sit on the couch all day! And it doesn't have to be bikes, it can be swimming. walking, running, shopping, sewing...What ever it is that you like to do, you can take it to the next level. You just need to create a goal!-Notice I said shopping, one thing you can do is go garage sail shopping for adventure, look for the hidden treasure! There are a lot of treasures out there! Just look at Ebay!! (if your parents will let you, you could start an Ebay account and sell your treasures there!)

Don't worry you're only thirteen........get some friends and hang out with them. you'll have more freedom later on then you can pursue your careers and work towards whatever goal you have set out for yourself......It is okay to have fantasies everyone has them....even me lol
Seriously speaking , there is always a time to fantasize but you must know how to differentiate your life from fact and fiction. Think within the boundaries of reality.....there are so many amazing fun things you can do out there you don't necessarily need to have harry potter adventures
Good luck
Think about what you would like to do....get a dog and walk him everyday after all you have time.....you might meet some new people that way , you'll have fun........of course that is just my opinion..............heck you could even join a harry potter fan club if you can't think about anything else to do. Humans NEED to socialize and interact with other people it is in our nature
been there done that...........you need to assert your independence and explain to your parents that you CAN take care of yourself.
I know its embarassing to have overprotective parents...............uh I still need to move out next year when I go to college. In case you're wondering Im still underage
It would be a good idea to help your mom

Erm no offence but dont you feel bad that your mum is always cleaning and cooking? Thought sometimes about helping her? She must be tired... she would appreciate it.
About the exitement... it depends on what you enjoy doing. And im sure that you cant really envy harry potter! You wouldnt want your parents to be dead and some psycho trying to kill you, would you?
Just do something useful everyday, learn something new. Meet new people, sign up for some exiting activity such as horseriding or surfing...

First of all, I don't think your parents are over-protective, I think that they care about you and want to make sure you are safe. For the adventures that you cannot take, why not write them down. Create your own "Harry Potter". It worked for J. K. Rowling. How much of a life do you think she had being on socal assistance and being a single mother. Create your own adventures!!

Do you have friends in the neighborhood? If so, go play with them. Run around outside. That's what summer vacation is for.
Or read books. There are great adventures to be found.
Or develop some hobbies.
Life is a banquet -- there's no need to starve.
And I commend you for not wanting to just sit around and watch television all day.

you say "at your house there is nothing to do..."
how many of harry potter's adventures are at home? get out and enjoy the world. think of each day as a gift and get as much out of it as you can. the worst thing you can do is take each day for granted, do nothing special with today, because you expect another one to come tomorrow.
for example, find out what it is about harry's adventures you like, and try (within reality) to bring it into your life.
