A person like that is not better than you for not having gone through tough experiences. Think of it this way; you are the one who has weathered the storms, you are the one who has become stronger and a better person for having done so. The person who looks down on you now will have a hard time when it's his turn to deal with the hard knocks. Hold your head up high, you've made it through some bad times, and you'll continue to do so. If I were you, I'd associate with some real friends who truly care about you and your situation.

Its called ignorance. People try to tell parents how to raise their kids when they don't have any. People look down on others who are homeless and call them bums. The most ignorant people in the world are the ones who beleive life is what you make it. I know people who have worked hard went to college and still end up working some dead end job and never seem to get ahead no matter how hard they try, then there are others who are just blessed and end up with some outstanding talent that they never had to work hard to acheive. Lets face it everyone can't be Barry Sanders or the president no matter how much effort they put into it. Ignorance is bliss in every sense, because not only do they get to judge you but they are never forced to face the same hardships you have and they are usually happy go lucky people who have everything they really ever wanted. Sucks don't it. Good thing we understand the concept of life not being fair, huh. : (

Ive been through the mill, i dont think that i have the same problem though, i think that i have gained respect off of people for still standing proud and taking it all on the chin. If your having a rough time at the moment, dont let ANYTHING knock you back, theres no one better than you, you would be so suprised by the amount of people that walk around with fake confidence.

I can say, its the kind of people I wouldn't like to know and the are the kind of people who make out their life is perfect, while in reality you might find that is worse than yours and they just keep their turmoils bottled up and they wake up in the morning on a wet pillow, as they cry themselves to sleep every night....Or find that they have a few sessions a week with a therapist.

apart from the Lord, that is going without announcing, my older sister, who died of stillborn. I consistently have a curiousity approximately her because of the fact that I been responsive to her. I imagined if she grew to become into right here, she'd could be like my elder brother ( he grew to become into in basic terms 2 back then) and he or she may be the nicely-cherished one, nicely-respected one, outgoing, she'd be married with youngsters, and prefer my brother could have very almost any lady he needs, she could get very almost any guy she needs. One residing individual i could choose to fulfill is John Schneider. he's a humanitarian in his very own real; he merely does not get recognized like Angelina Jolie or Oprah. he's the reason of the annual fundraiser for youngster's Miracle community, he helped twister sufferers in Alabama as quickly as by potential of giving freely a million/2 the proceeds to his recent action picture, he's the kind which will say "i won't be in a position to sit down down around and don't something". He enjoys assisting human beings.

I think you're taking it the wrong way. They are trying to reach out to you. They're letting you know though they can't imagine your pain, they care. It's not a put down.
If you don't like these people why do you tell them your problems? Are you bragging? I know it sounds weird but I have counseled with people who actually thrive on letting others know how bad they have it and are offended that someone else dare to think they've had it as bad as them.
If they thought themselves better than you they wouldn't even bother to say anything.

Well, first of all you shouldn't be spilling your guts about your hardships to people unless you know them well enough in the first place. Reason is, if that person doesn't really know you he's going to do that because he hasn't gotten to know you well enough to consider how you feel. Besides that, you hardly know each other and you already told this sob story about your hardships. People usually keep those storys to themselves because its inappropriate for normal conversation when you first meet someone.

That people are worser than you because you give the FIRST STEP that is want to change. The others walk normally as if nothing matters were happened, but inside them there is a Jungle of traumas and rare weird behaviors, and you only show one bad behavior.
Let them feel how they like to feel it doesn t matter.
You are recovering.

I wouldn't deal with them at all. From my experience, people who have had a bad time are often deeper, more understanding people than those who have had it all on a plate. Maybe you should be a little more choosy who you open up to as theres a lot of narrow idiots out there.

If people feel sorry for themselves then they are getting all the sympathy they need. Why do you go whining to strangers?
