actually there is nothing weird about it. Sex in public adds an element of daring and risk to the action thus significantly increasing the thrill level. It is like comparing jumping on a trampoline to bungee jumping - both are cool but the latter is going to create way more stimulation.
the unfortunate thing is that so many people view the human body and sex acts as immoral or indecent or what-have-you. It's as if all those people never get naked or have sex. And who knows maybe they don't. However, since the 'prudes' of the world tend to dominate, they make public nudity and sex illegal thus further adding to the excitement level of actually doing it. Which of course explains why people flash or streak.
All things considered then, the key is to not do it so as to offend others; thus having your fun without winding up in jail for it.

I don't think its necessarily weird. A lot of people like adding that kind of thrill to their relationship.
But if you are always having sex in public, and not a bed... you might want to consider if you have intimacy issues with your partner. (Assuming its the same one) If you are young and just living it up, go for it.

Maybe you should join a swingers club. My understanding is that being naked and performing are part of the ambiance. You could also join nudest clubs and hit nude beaches. Considering this is illegal, I would have you consider the consequences. Being caught, you could find yourself in jail or prison even, and then you might have these encounters in the very public of the cell.

I dont think its weird. I want to do that too but i am always afraid to get caught and end up in jail or paying a huge fine.
