My hubby cheated on me once. he told me about the story and what happened.. and I forgive him.. and we stayed married for about 17 yrs. I believe everyone deserve a second chance...

I busted him on the computer emailing this person. I have not yet been able to forgive anything, I don't know if I will ever get past it; will NEVER forget it even if I can eventually forgive. I will always look at him differently and it has crushed me and completely changed and altered my entire life as I have known it for over a decade. It has put me into a deep depression that I am trying to overcome. I still don't know many details but am trying to find out everything. Details make it worse but I crave to know everything. So far, still married. But don't know if it will stay that way. I am thinking I may never trust him again, and cannot live like that the rest of my life; I feel like I deserve more than that.

How did you find out? I guessed. She was constantly calling him on his cell, he was always saying she needed something "fixed" and wanted us to become "friends" so he could do it behind my back.
Did you forgive him? Hell no! He left me and his 4 kids with nothing. Had to fight him for 6 months to even get child support and his thing constantly egged him on to start stuff with me.
How long did it take to get past it? Well, i met a new man a month later and started dating. I was over him in about 6 months. To get past resentment, about 2 years. Now he never even bothers to call his kids since i remarried.
Did you know the details? Nope
Did knowing the details make it worse? N/A
Did you stay married? Hell no! It was much quieter without him. I learned i was worth so much more. My husband "the man i met a month later" taught me i was worthy of a good man and not worthless like my ex made me and the kids feel. He showed us what a loving relationship was like and i will always be grateful.

I NEEDED to know the details to make closure for me. It was a one time thing and he came home crying and begging me to forgive him. For awhile I didn't ask for details...but it will help you get better.
It's been almost 5 years ago and now I love him more than I ever have and I trust him 100%.

mine cheated before we were married, but i could just feel it. plus he started being a jerk to me. guilty conscious i guess. yes he told me the details, and no it did not make it worse. i dont mean like graphic details. yes i married him anyway. lol it was kinda a ross n rachel thing.. anyways hes great and im glad that i stayed with him.
