No its not true.... that would mean 30 out of 100 couples swap....... not true..... is he asking for you to do this??? Well dont...... I have a best friend who does it..... he is ok with it. But when I look at her face, I can see that she does it for him.... so sad that she cant be honest with him... he says it makes their marriage better..... yeah right, its just an excuse to mess around with other women.......

I really think it would be more like one or two per hundred, if that! I'm sure the rate of cheating is quite high, but I don't think swapping is that common.
I hope he's not using that statistic to try to get you to do it against your wishes. Tell him you're going to start polling his friends and do your own statistics. Pick up the phone in front of him, ring friends and say "My husband says 30% of couples swap, just doing my own research - do you?". He'll die!

Well, my husband and I "swap" with our friends every now and then. I think a large percentage of couples do this, but not all. Maybe not 30%, I would say around 20%.

There is no way that I would believe that 30% of married couples swap. I would wander just where that your husband got his figures and further wander what he was trying to talk you into. It's partially these people spreading the diseases that we are faced with today.

My and my hubby swap, and we know of LOTS of other couples who do as well. I wouldn't say it's as high as 30% though. I'm guessing about 15% of couples do it regularly, but about 25% have tried it at one time or another.

I think it's probably more than you would think (because most people don't advertise that), but I don't believe it's as high as 30%... that's 3 out of every 10 couples.

That percentage is ridiculously high. I suppose it might feel like that if you are swingers and the people you associate with are too.
Edit: I just looked it up in Wikipedia...... researchers have estimated that between 1.7 percent and 6 percent of married people are involved in open marriages (this includes swingers, polyamory, etc.).

Many people swap but few are willing to state they do.
Met 2 couples who where in the ministry that enjoy the
lifestyle. since we started.

I don't know of ANYONE who swaps, so my guess is it's less than 1%.

I sure hope it's not that high. That's a whole lot of people who have a complete lack of morals.
