Most assuredly. But so would parental control of their kids, knowing WHAT, WHERE, WHO, WHEN, and WHY would go a long way as well.

Teen pregnancy happens because parents are disinterested, too busy, blind (oh, my son/daughter would NEVER do such a thing!), or are otherwise in denial. Parent interaction and involvement is an absolute MUST to keep kids safe and healthy.

You don't have to tell your parents. That's what Planned Parenthood is for. You can get the pill and condoms without parents permission. They would have you rather be responsible than to end up with STDs or pregnant.

Well, duh!!

It's certainly worked that way in Europe, where the teenagers have as much sex as here, but only about 10% of the pregnancies. European girls have fewer abortions, even though they're easier to get, and far fewer babies, even though the government services are more generous and the babies more likely to live and be healthy.

They're already free without parent's permission. Teenagers are just immature (so they think stupid when it comes to sex)and not educated enough on the options available to them.

Oh yes. If teens didn't have to tell their paretns to get that stuff, they would get it. Then again, wouldn't help the HIV subject at all....
